Obituary of Flynn Milton Boyden
Flynn Milton Boyden, age 67, of Mansfield, PA, died on July 1, 2014 in the Corning Hospital, Corning, NY. Born on May 16, 1947 in Wellsboro, PA, he was the son of Charles H. and Bette (Lawrence) Boyden. Flynn was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Ann Boyden.
Prior to his retirement, Flynn was employed as a heavy equipment operator with House Wood Products Company. He was a US Air Force veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Flynn was a member of the Mansfield V.F.W. and enjoyed carpentry , mowing the lawn in the trailer park and was a handyman.
Flynn is survived by his mother, Bette Boyden; his fiance', Darlene Dickinson of Mansfield, PA; two daughters, Shelley and Mary; two step daughters, Kim (Fred) Bolt of Mansfield, PA, Teresa (Eric) Cowan of Covington, PA; one step son, Thomas (Liz) Tracy of Lawrenceville, PA; three brothers, James (Donna) Boyden of Mainesburg, PA, John Boyden of New Mexico, Bill Boyden of Mainesburg, PA; one sister, Donna (John) Elsbree of Troy, PA; his fianc�'s children; John (Diane) Ritchie of Covington, PA, Joshua (Jen) Ritchie of Blossburg, PA, Mary (Ernest) Maines of Covington, PA, John Dickinson of Mansfield, PA, Melissa Dickinson of Covington, PA; eight grandchildren and one great grandson. In addition to his wife, Patricia, Flynn was also predeceased by his father, Charles Boyden.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 5, 2014 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 10:00 AM at the funeral chapel with Pastor Dave Dressler officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Holiday, PA.
