Oscar A. Carlson, age 87, of Wellsboro, PA, formerly of Blossburg, PA died on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Oscar was born on September 28, 1920 in Blossburg, PA, the son of the late John and Margaret Landrus Carlson. He was married to the late Ann Strong Carlson.
Oscar was formerly employed as a Security Guard for JP Ward Foundry.
He was a former member of the Highway Tabernacle Church in Mansfield, PA and enjoyed building remote control trains and planes.
Oscar is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law Peggy and Vernon Morqan of Mainesburg, PA, Betty Ann Walburn of Susquehanna, PA, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Wendy Bartlett on May 3, 1990 and six brothers.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held immediately following the viewing at 1:30 PM with the Pastor Jim Shay officiating.
