Obituary of Clarence J. Nielsen

Clarence J. Nielsen, Jr., age 83, of Wellsboro, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Clarence was born March 22, 1931 in West Haven, CT, a son of Clarence Sr. and Charlotte (Schwing) Schaeffer. He was married to the late Bonnie I. Nielsen who passed away in 1978. Clarence was a music teacher and organist for Waltoffer Avenue Elementary School, and also a choir director and organist for Hempstead United Methodist Church where he was a member. He was a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and enjoyed traveling. Clarence is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Christian and Josephine Nielsen of Ridge, NY; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Valerie and Jeffrey Abbott of Westfield, PA, Samantha Bonnie Arnett of Binghamton, NY, Krystle Turner of Wellsboro, PA; 5 grandchildren, Nicole Agneta, Renee Abbott, Bonnie, Susan and Matthew Nielsen; 2 great grandchildren, Austin Arnett and Skyler Everetts. In keeping with Clarence's wishes there will be no services. Burial will be in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead, NY. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
