Obituary of John J. Trela
John J. Trela, age 65, of Sylvania, PA, died on Monday, April 28, 2014 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born on January 13, 1949 in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of John and Helen (Grzybowski) Trela of Elizabeth, NJ. John was predeceased by his wife, Margaret "Peg" Trela on Sept. 21, 2010 and a son, Todd Killam in October 2013.
Prior to his retirement, John was employed for 30 years as a Family Living Provider with Future's in Towanda. He was deeply involved with his church, the Fellowship Bible Church in Troy, PA. John enjoyed teaching, Bible studies, former world champion of bench rest shooting.
In addition to his father, John Trela, he is also survived by a son, Allen Killam of Goose Creek, SC; three daughters and a son-in-law, Dawn Killam of Tioga Center, NY, Wendy and Brian Inscho of Johnson City, NY, Amy Daniels of Sylvania, PA; one brother
Joey Trela of NJ; three sisters, Roseanne, Kathy and Patty all of NJ; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for John on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 6:00 PM at the Fellowship Bible Church, 121 Mud Creek Rd., Troy, PA, 16947. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church in John's memory. Burial will be in the Sylvania Hill Cemetery. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
