Obituary of Harriett Bartlett
Harriet Bartlett, age 94, of Tioga, PA, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. She was born August 10, 1919 in Williamsport, PA, a daughter of Samuel and Agnes (Hawkins) Brass. Harriet and her late husband, Harold O. Bartlett, Sr., would have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary March 29th. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Tioga, PA. Harriet enjoyed her cats, working in the flower beds, roller skating, and was an avid reader.
Harriet is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harold "Hobbie" and Marj Bartlett of Tioga, PA; a son-in-law, Al Racheck of Binghamton, NY; 3 daughters and a son-in-law, Helen Bradshaw and Fred Lamoreaux of Austin, TX, Shirley and Robert Sullivan of Avon, CT, Joanne Saylor-Lowe of Elmira, NY; 12 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Harriet was predeceased by her husband, Harold, on Sept. 2, 2013; a daughter, Norma Racheck in 1997; 2 brothers, James and Kenneth Brass; a sister, Catherine Shertz.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:00 A.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Debbie Button officiating. Burial will be in Beech Flats Cemetery, Canton Twp., PA.
