Obituary of Marian P. Ranck

Marian P. Ranck, age 89, of Millerton, PA, passed away at her home on Monday, March 10, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Marian was born September 20, 1924 in Morris, PA, a daughter of Alex and Alice (Creek) Patt. She was the widow of John C. Ranck. Marian was a member of Holy Child Catholic Church, the Mansfield VFW, and had worked at The Steak House in Wellsboro, PA. Marian enjoyed cooking, reading and crocheting. Marian is survived by 3 sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael (Rose Foster) Ranck of Lawrenceville, PA, John (Eileen) Ranck of Wellsboro, PA, Joe Ranck of Elmira, NY; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy Westmoreland of Clemson, SC, Susan (Tim) Horton of Elmira, NY; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 3 sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Green of Tioga, PA, Charlotte Stevens of Tioga, PA, Patricia (George) Duford of Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, John; a brother, Ed; 3 sisters, Genevieve, Christina and Loretta. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. at Holy Child Catholic Church, 245 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. John J. Chmil as celebrant. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery.
