Obituary of Michael Scott Wood

Michael Scott Wood, age 42, of Coldwater, MI, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his home. Mike was born on July 17, 1971 in Blossburg, PA, to Larry F. and Karen B. (Coons) Wood. He was dedicated to his job and family, especially his children. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting sports, and collecting guns. He liked watching NASCAR and Penn State Football with his father. He loved his children dearly and will be missed by his family. Mike is survived by his children, Megan, Corey and Lexi Wood; his adoptive daughter, Shelby Forshee, all of Alabama; his parents, Larry (Carol) Wood of Coldwater, MI; Karen (Jim) Crooks of Covington, PA; sisters, Dawn Wood and Shannon (Tom) Sheets of Coldwater, MI; brother, Jeff (Lori) Wood of Liberty, PA; Aunt Pat (Ray) Whitney of Whitneyville, PA; Uncle Irwin (Joanie) Coons, Jr.; Aunt Ann (Gordon) Brooks; Aunt Ellen (Ralph) LeBlanc; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be private with Rev. Allen Hulslander officiating. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the family to help with final expenses.
