Beva Elizabeth (Pettitt, Ostrom) Kreger, 81, of Liberty, PA on February 15, 2014 went to rest with the Lord. Born on February 27, 1932 to Ernestine (Spencer) and Phillip Pettitt of Elkland, PA. Raised by Beatrice (Harrer) and Charles Taber of Blossburg, PA. She married Howard Leon Ostrom on June 4, 1950 of Liberty, PA, who died on October 11, 1957; then married Jack Pershing Kreger on April 10, 1959 who died December 2005. Preceded her in death was her grandson, SSS Ryan S. Ostrom, KIA in 2005, and her daughter-in-law Janet (Parker) Ostrom in 2005. Preceded by her 2 sisters and 3 brothers, Esther (Robert) Larrabee, Arthur (Annie) Pettitt, John (Erma Tripp) Pettitt, Phillip (Helga Buchheister) Pettitt, and Rachel (Robert) Pequignot. Survived by 5 Children: Scott (Anice Deel-Browne) Ostrom, Liberty, PA; Lon (Kathy Blocklinger) Ostrom, Manhattan, KS; Ray Ostrom, Liberty, PA; Misty (Decker Everett) Ostrom, Covington, PA; John (Diane Stepulis) Ostrom, Liberty, PA; 19 grandchildren, Ryan S. Ostrom predeceased; Wade (Stef Orme) Browne, III; Mandy (Len Yoder) Ostrom; Cheri Ostrom; Derik Ostrom; Chad (Jennifer Askew) Ostrom; Kyle Ostrom; Brook Lindsay; Brandan Lindsay; Skylar Ostrom; Relee Ostrom; Aidan Ostrom; Annie Ostrom; Eli Ostrom; Jayla Ostrom; Brigette (Ben Largy) Ostrom; Emily (Shawn Graham) Ostrom, Joel Ostrom; Cat (Aaron Rush) Ostrom; Becca Ostrom; 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Beva belonged to Liberty V.F.W. Post 6755 Ladies Auxiliary, Lifetime member; Blossburg American Legion Post 572 Ladies Auxiliary; Arnot Sportsman Club Lifetime member; Hillside Rod and Club Lifetime member, Blossburg; and part of the adopted grandparent program for 17+ years with Blossburg Headstart Program to 200+ children. Her favorite pastime was playing Bingo, Euchre, Bowling league for years and a 500 pt. Bowler, cooking, caregiver for years in the Tioga County area, supported the Liberty Little League program and FRG member of 55th 3-103rd AR, Williamsport, PA. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Thomas Harmic officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the SSG Ryan S.
