Obituary of Carol Whitney

Carol Whitney, age 70, of Mansfield, PA, died Thursday, January 16, 2014 at her home. Carol was the wife of the late Warren W. Whitney. She was born on August 6, 1943 in Wellsville, NY a daughter of Francis and Frances (Edwards) Morton. Carol assisted with farming and worked as a waitress at her sister's restaurant. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and search a word. Carol is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Kenneth Jelliff of Waynesburg, GA; two granddaughters, Christie and Gwynne; four great grandchildren, Skyler, Merisa, Christian and Jacob; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathi and John Semiklose of Mansfield, PA; a brother-in-law, James Harris, and several nieces and nephews. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Phyllis Robinson and Marian Harris, two brothers, Paul and Leon Morton. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
