Obituary of Russell W. Hughes
Russell W. Hughes, age 58, of Mansfield, PA, died Sunday, December 15, 2013 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. He was born August 1, 1955 in Blossburg, PA, son of Harry W. and Emma B. (Simmons) Hughes. Russell was the husband of Linda (Robinson) Hughes and would have celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary on January 21st, 2014. He was a Penn State fan, Eagles fan, enjoyed the Grateful Dead, loved his family and his dog, Lacey Louise. Russell was a disabled U.S. Army Veteran.
Russell is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Brandon Hughes of Wellsboro, PA; step-son, Eric (Trudy) Schultz of Mansfield, PA; step-daughter, Lindsay (Conrad) Crance of Lawrenceville, PA; step-grandchildren, Maddison, Robert, Darby and Gabriel; 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Kathy Hughes of Sayre, PA, Ivan and Wanda Hughes of Dallas, TX, Mark and Janice Hughes of Wellsboro, PA; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law; Anita and Charles Jackson of Tioga, PA, Eleanor and Layne Conrad of Mansfield, PA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Glenn Hughes.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral chapel at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Calvin Yoder officiating. Military honors will be presented by the Tioga County Honor Guard.
