Obituary of George Henry Healey

George "Henry" Healey, age 81, of Lawrenceville, PA, died on Thursday, December 12, 2013 in The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. Born on May 11, 1932 in Corning, NY, he was the son of George Healey and Julia (Lynch) Healey. Henry was married to Betty Lou (Kilburn) Healey. Together Henry and Betty Lou celebrated 60 years of marriage on August 10, 2013. Prior to his retirement, Henry was employed as a Lyre Operator with Corning, Inc. In Corning, NY. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Henry was a member of the East Lawrence Baptist Church where he was a former Deacon and Sunday School Superintendent. He enjoyed helping others. Henry is survived by his wife, Betty Lou of Lawrenceville, PA; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick H. Healey of Lawrenceville, PA, Kenneth and Kathy Healey of Brookline, NH; a daughter Lucinda I. (Dennis Toth) Healey of Parma Heights, OH; three grandchildren, Justine, Kristen and Andrew Healey and two great grandsons, Nathaniel Healey and Sean Sconyer. Henry was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Lila Healey on November 26, 2013; one sister, one brother and several step brothers. In addition to his siblings, he was also preceded in death by his father, George, mother, Julia, and his step mother who raised him, Priscilla Healey. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held at the East Lawrence Baptist Church on Monday, December 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM with Rev. G. Victor Perry officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in Henry's name to the East Lawrence Baptist Church, 1139 East Lawrence Rd., Lawrenceville, PA 16929.
