Obituary of Sylvia Wilcox
Sylvia (Chamberlain) Wilcox, age 81, of Mansfield, PA, died on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 17, 1933, she was the daughter of Rex and Grace (Tice) Chamberlain. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Theodore Wilcox on June 13, 2008. Prior to her retirement, Sylvia was employed as a school bus driver with the Southern Tioga School District. She was a member of the Mainesburg United Methodist Church, the Tioga County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), the Richmond Twp. Planning Commission and the Richmond Twp. Municipal Authority.
Sylvia is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lucille and James VanDergrift of Mansfield, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Nan Wilcox of Covington, PA; one brother and sister-in-law, Reid and Carol Chamberlain of Mainesburg, PA; four grandchildren: Jessica VanDergrift, Ryan and Mara Wilcox, Joleen George and three great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, February 13, 2015 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Michele Bodle officiating.
