Obituary of Sandra Cook
Sandra I. Cook, age 74, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. She was born on April 16, 1946 in Wellsville, NY, a daughter of Elmer and Lorena (Jeffers) Knickerbocker. Sandra was married to Allen Cook who passed away on September 29, 2015. She was a member of the Elkland Moose Lodge and volunteered at the Mansfield, Elkland, and Lawrenceville Fire Departments. Sandra was a caregiver to everyone and enjoyed playing bingo.
Sandra is survived by her daughters, Carrie (Tony) Unrue of Painted Post, NY, Kim (Clayton) Hallett of Middlebury Center, PA, Lorie (Kevin Drake) Cook of Troupsburg, NY, and Lynnette (Michael) Taft of Leicester, NY; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; five sisters, Naomi (Robert) Moon of Potter Brook, PA, Rosella Barker of Ocala, FL, Regina (David) Birdsell of Lawrenceville, PA, Shirley (Robert "Bud") Gee of Osceola, PA, and Darlene McNett of Wellsboro, PA; a sister-in-law, Barb Knickerbocker of Genesee, PA; and special friends, Roger Newcomb of Osceola, PA, and Lorraine and Amy Larrabee of Elkland, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Allen "Herbie" S. Cook; three brothers, Guy Knickerbocker, Leslie Knickerbocker, and Larry Knickerbocker; a sister Alverta McConnell; a granddaughter, Jackie Outman; and a grandson, Shawn Causer.
In honoring Sandra's wishes, there will be no services. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA is assisting the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
